The Biblical Research Institute of the IMCF wishes to clearly state we are a trans-denominational, A-Political Messianic community.
Theologically centred in Yeshua the Messiah alone, restoring an appreciation of the lost Jewish thought-form to the biblical revelation
as expressed in the 1st century Jewish milieu...
The Rebbe teaches nothing new but all things original.
We stands firm on the following three fundamentals:
1: We support the Greater Israel vision with Jerusalem as its undivided capital;
2: That Yeshua the Nazarene King of the Jews is the Universal Messiah and Coming Redeemer
who will gather all the Holy Sparks back into the shattered Face of G-d.
3: We do not evangelize or "missionize" the Jewish People but expose all People to the Teaching of the Gospel.

What are the correct Festival Dates for 2020?
To All:
According to the Sinai Torah the new moon for the 1st month of the Jewish Year is to be physically sighted over Jerusalem and the concurrent search for Aviv must be equally successful. If these two factors are resolved we can set the dates for festival observance at their anticipated scheduled time. Please remember that some of these forecast festivals will occur only according to new moon sightings. Any future variation of dates will be announced where and when applicable. The "spring festivals" for 2020 are projections pending the aviv barley search March 25, prior to the sighting of the new crescent moon anticipated March 25.
If we follow the advice of the Israeli authorities, and the new crescent moon is sighted as hoped, then Passover will occur April 8 (the
Lord 's Seder celebration -- as one way of expressing the ritual -- necessarily falling the evening before on April 7).
The seven day festival of unleavened bread occurs sundown April 8 through to sundown April 15.
Shavuot (or Pentecost) will fall Sunday 31 May.
Yom Teruah (or Rosh HaShanah) falls September 19 starting the previous evening -- IF the New Moon is seen on the evening of September 18 in Jerusalem.
Yom Kippur is expected to fall 28 September (beginning the evening prior)
Sukkot -- otherwise known as The Festival of Tabernacles -- lasts for seven days with the first day declared an annual Sabbath: starts October 3 (on the evening before) and lasts for 7 days.
Shemini Atzeret (called by some "The Last Great Day" is separate from Sukkot. It falls October 10 (beginning the evening prior at sunset).
This information is provided for those of our IMCF Student Body and IMCF members (along with our FB Associate Students) who continue to observe the annual sabbaths and festivals of Israel, as enumerated in Leviticus 23.

Jewish Messianic Expectation Revealed in the Intertestamental Period
by Dr Les Aron Gosling, Rebbe
Powerful evidence both overlooked and ignored by Jewish scholars for twenty centuries points to Yeshua ben Yosef as the fulfilment of first century CE widespread Messianic expectation. Astonishingly, this remarkable evidence comes not from pagan secular sources, but from their own sacred writings of the Intertestamental Period (circa the conclusion of the prophet Malachi's ministry to the arrival of Yochanan, the Essene baptiser). Indeed, the truth included in these largely forgotten documents is staggering!
Its time for Jewish rabbis to repent of their ignorance about (and hostility toward) the carpenter Rome crucified, and the Jews stoned to death, 2000 years ago.
Its high time for all people to reappraise Yeshua the Nazarene.
The Chinese Expected the Appearance of the "Holy One"
The Chinese philosopher, K'ung Fu-Tze, better known to us as Confucius, predicted the coming of the God-Man but knew he would not be found in China. The Chinese recognised that He would come from the regions west of China. They also knew that He would be due around the period (in their historical assessment) of the Roman Occupation of Judaea. They hoped He would make His appearance in India.
Notice what the sage had to say: "The Holy One must be sought in the West." Verbally handed down from father to son, "by the year 64 after the Christian Era, the Emperor Mimti, we are told, under the influence of this expectation sent messengers westward into India, that there they might enquire for the long-predicted Holy One of Confucius" (Du Halde's China, Vol. I., 360,361; Le Compte's China, 118,200). read more..

The Authentic Grace of God, or Who Actually Believed the Holy Spirit?
by Dr Les Aron Gosling, Rebbe
"For the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the acharit-hayamim [end time period] some shall apostatise from the Faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Such teachings come from the hypocrisy of liars... Here is a statement you can rely on, one that fully deserves to be accepted joyfully (indeed it is for this that we toil and strive energetically): we have our hope set on a living God Who is the Saviour of ALL HUMANKIND, especially those who presently believe"1 Tim 4.1-2,9-10
I believe the Bible. I don't just believe in the Bible. I believe the holy Spirit. I don't just believe in the Spirit. I believe the words of my Messiah, Yeshua. I don't just believe in Our Lord Yeshua. I believe the apostles Paul and John -- I believe what they had to say.I don't just believe they penned nice words. I also happen to believe in the existence of a real Satan, the embodiment of overzealous righteousness -- a tangible, awful evil all on its own. I also believe that he has obeyed the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and done his work of deception exceptionally well. He has to. For haSatan to obey God's commandments (given to humankind) would be to disobey God's decree. read more...

Shabbat Moments With the Rebbe

On the Origin of the Name "Christian"
Copyright © BRI 1984, 2014 All Rights Reserved Worldwide
[1] The earliest disciples of Our Lord Yeshua were simply called "Christians" by the pagan world around them. This same appellation may well have been expressed by Jews as "Messianists." Certainly, among the pagans it was intended to be a derogatory designation that was not in any way meant to be friendly, but an outright jest or epithet. It appears to have been coined around the year 44 CE. How often is this term "Christian" located in the Messianic Scriptures?
[2] Were the earliest disciples of Yeshua known by another name, other than "Christian"?
[3] What names were the first followers of Yeshua known by as explicated in the apostolic writings?
[4] Did the primitive disciples see themselves cast in a different light? Did they take to themselves a more fitting identification?
[5] Is there an authentic alternative rendering to the common text in Acts 11.26 as normally utilised by the Christian church?

What was Paul's view of the Torah in relation to Gentile believers?
by Dr Les Aron Gosling, Rebbe
We have all been exposed to one extent or another to the widely held notion that there existed a Jewish Christianity in the first century and that there was also a Gentile Christianity that ran parallel with the original faith. A little unbiased study of the "NT" corpus, however, reveals the opposite.
Indeed, Luke has a great deal to actually say on the truth of the matter. Luke was Paul’s disciple and an educated man (he was a doctor) so he would not have been ignorant of Paul’s view of the Torah. He lived with him for years and accompanied Paul on his many evangelistic journeys all around the Mediterranean.
Instead of strands of antinomianism, we find that Paul;
The Torah, the Prophets (N’viim), and the Writings (K’tuvim) of course is what constitutes Tanack. The first letter each of Torah, N’viim, and K’tuvim -- TNK -- give us the acronym Tanack.
Of course, this PRESUPPOSES that they -- the Gentiles -- must have had access via Paul, or local synagogues, to Jewish Scriptures or they would have had no idea of what Paul was talking about ....and the Torah must have been (at least in Paul’s mind) vitally important for the Gentiles, for him to have spent so much time educating them into biblical patterns of intellectual apprehension and comprehension.
It's high time this biblical truth was recognised and given a prominence it well deserves.

From the laziness that is content with half truth,

Should Christians Revere the Cross?
by Dr Les Aron Gosling, Rebbe
The symbol of the cross is today the symbol of Christianity in all its forms -- Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox (and the subdivisions of all three sections of the Christian community). This was not always the case.
Not only so, but on what implement did Our Lord Yeshua die? Was it actually a cross, or perhaps a stake (or pole), as some sectarians insist? Get ready for a surprise!

Iran in Prophecy
With the fall of Mohammed Reza Pahlavi -- the Shah of Iran -- and his subsequent death in exile in 1980, the world's oldest existing monarchy, stretching back in time 2500 years, came to an abrupt end. The Ayatollah Khomeini's tumultuous rise to power cast the rapidly developing world power of Iran into chaos. At the time, historical commentator and news correspondent, William Forbis noted:
"This momentous event..contains the seeds of economic depression in the West from loss of Middle Eastern oil, and even the seeds of war, should the Soviet Union make a grab for Iran's oil and its warm-water ports, or should Iran ally itself with some of the Arab countries in a holy war on Israel" (William H. Forbis, Fall of the Peacock Throne, 1980, vii)
Forbis, not without reason, voiced the very real concern and extremely precarious position the world (particularly the West) now faced as a result of the dramatic change in the political climate wrought in Iran since the Shah was overthrown. The revolution was not religious -- not Islamic. It was not even socialistic. The revolution found expression in racial differences. It was also political. (See F. Halliday, Iran: Dictatorship & Development, 1979, 310-322). read more
